Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run an animation school — your email, display name, and basic usage statistics. Your animations stay on your device unless you choose to save them online, submit them to a class, or attach them to a bug report. We never sell your data and we never show ads.

What we collect

• Account: email address, display name, chosen avatar, and a securely hashed password.
• Usage statistics: counters like time in the app, exports made, and classes hosted/joined — used to understand how the school is doing. Security and abuse-prevention logs (sign-ins, rate limiting) include your IP address.
• Purchases: which tutorials/courses you own, so we can show them to you.
• Feedback you send us through the in-app form. Bug reports include a technical snapshot (app version, browser type, recent error messages, and for the 3D tool the scene data needed to reproduce the problem). Attaching an image of your canvas is optional and off by default.
• Your animations: stored locally in your own browser by default. They reach our servers only when you choose to: Save online stores the project on your account until you delete it or your account; class submissions are stored (with their version history) so your teacher can review them; live classes share project data temporarily to sync the class (deleted within 24 hours). Teacher feedback videos are deleted automatically after 90 days.

What we DON'T do

• No advertising, no ad trackers, no analytics cookies.
• No selling or renting your personal data — ever.
• We never see or store your card details (see Payments below).

Payments

Paddle is our merchant of record: when you buy something, Paddle processes the payment and shares with us only what we need (your email, what you bought, and the transaction reference). Card details go to Paddle, not us. See Paddle's privacy policy.

Service providers

• Cloudflare — hosts the site, database, and live-class infrastructure.
• Paddle — payment processing and tax handling.
• Resend — sends account emails (confirmation, password reset).

Live classes

In a live class your display name and avatar are visible to the class. If you join a video room, your camera/microphone/screen are shared with class members while you have them on. Classes may be recorded — you'll be notified when recording is active.

Cookies & storage

We use your browser's local storage for your session token and app preferences. No third-party cookies.

Your rights

You can delete your account any time from the 🍜 menu inside the app — your account, statistics, online saves and submission records are removed immediately and permanently. Stored files (submitted projects, feedback recordings, bug-report images) are purged from storage on a regular cleanup pass shortly after. You can also email us to ask what data we hold about you, or to have it corrected or removed.
